Executor's Checklist and Guide

Use this checklist to track your duties as executor: locate the will, file with the probate court, obtain letters testamentary, notify beneficiaries and creditors, inventory assets, pay debts and taxes, file the final income tax return and estate tax return (if required), distribute assets per the will, and file a final accounting with the court.
