File online at USCIS.gov or by mail. Select the reason for filing (renewal, replacement, name change, or correction). Provide two passport-style photos. Filing fee is $465. Your expired green card combined with the I-90 receipt notice serves as evidence of your continued permanent resident status for up to 24 months. File at least 6 months before your card expires to avoid gaps in documentation.
