Instructions
Define the scope of inventions covered (those created using company resources, related to company business, or developed during work hours). Allow the employee to list prior inventions that are excluded. Include an obligation to disclose and assist with patent applications. Note that several states (California, Delaware, Illinois, Minnesota, and others) restrict assignment of inventions made entirely on the employee's own time with their own resources.
