Satisfaction of Mortgage / Lien Release

Identify the original mortgage by recording information (book, page, or instrument number). State that the debt has been fully satisfied and the lien is released. The lender must sign and notarize the satisfaction. Record it with the same county recorder where the mortgage was recorded. Most states require lenders to file this within 30-60 days of payoff.
