Instructions
Report gross sales, exempt sales (resale, government, nonprofit), and taxable sales. Calculate the tax due at the applicable rate(s). Deduct any permitted vendor discount for timely filing. Filing frequency (monthly, quarterly, annually) depends on your sales volume and state requirements. Five states have no sales tax: Alaska, Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire, and Oregon. Most states now require sales tax collection for remote sellers after South Dakota v. Wayfair (2018).
