Search the USPTO database (TESS) to ensure your mark is not already registered. Select the proper filing basis: use in commerce (1(a)) or intent to use (1(b)). Identify the goods or services and select from the USPTO's Acceptable Identification of Goods and Services Manual. Provide a specimen showing the mark in use (for 1(a) filings).
