File within 30 days after the mark is published in the Official Gazette (or request a 90-day extension). Identify the application being opposed and the specific grounds for opposition (likelihood of confusion, descriptiveness, dilution, prior use). Pay the filing fee ($600 per class for an electronic filing). The proceeding is similar to a federal lawsuit with discovery, motions, and briefing, but decided by the TTAB. Consider a consent agreement or coexistence agreement as an alternative.
