Underground Storage Tank Registration / Notification

Notify the designated state or local agency within 30 days of installing a new UST or bringing an existing UST into use. Provide tank specifications including size, material, installation date, substance stored, and leak detection methods. Demonstrate financial responsibility for corrective action and third-party liability (typically through insurance). USTs must meet EPA's technical requirements for spill prevention, overfill protection, and corrosion protection.
