Open Internet Rules

Internet service providers are required to disclose information about their network management practices, performance, and commercial terms. The rules address blocking, throttling, and paid prioritization of internet traffic, aiming to preserve the open internet.

Broadband providers may not block lawful content, applications, services, or non-harmful devices. They may not impair or degrade lawful internet traffic on the basis of content, applications, services, or non-harmful devices.
