Employers with 15 or more employees may not discriminate against qualified individuals with disabilities in any aspect of employment including hiring, firing, advancement, compensation, and training. A qualified individual can perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Employers must provide reasonable accommodations unless doing so would cause undue hardship. Reasonable accommodations may include job restructuring, modified work schedules, reassignment, acquisition of equipment, and modification of examinations or policies. Medical examinations are restricted to post-offer and must be job-related.
