Small unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) weighing less than 55 pounds may be operated commercially by remote pilots holding a Part 107 certificate. Operations are limited to daylight hours, maximum altitude of 400 feet above ground level, maximum speed of 100 mph, and within visual line of sight of the operator.
Operations over people and moving vehicles are permitted under certain conditions depending on the drone's category. Remote identification is required for most drones. Operators must yield right of way to manned aircraft and may not operate in restricted airspace without authorization.
