Most households may have up to $2,750 in countable resources, or $4,250 if any member is age 60 or older or disabled.

Benefits are provided on Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards and may be used to purchase food for home consumption. SNAP benefits may not be used to purchase alcohol, tobacco, vitamins, supplements, or prepared hot foods. Work requirements apply to able-bodied adults without dependents.
